Growing Globally: Be Light Gardens Around The World
Be Light Gardens was always meant to grow beyond one place.
What began as a family-owned brand rooted in purpose has expanded into a global movement—one that connects food, education, and community across borders. Today, Be Light Gardens represents more than a garden. It represents what’s possible when growth is intentional and impact is built into the foundation.
A Global Beginning
Before Be Light Gardens officially launched in the United States, the work had already begun abroad.
Through our nonprofit partner, Ripple Effects, we launched the first-ever Be Light greenhouse and garden in Kenya. This greenhouse was created to support local food access, education, and sustainability—providing a space where growing food also meant growing opportunity.
That moment mattered deeply to us. It affirmed what we’ve always believed:
access to food and the knowledge to grow it should not be limited by geography.
The greenhouse in Kenya wasn’t just a project—it was proof that Be Light Gardens could live anywhere there was a need, a community, and a willingness to grow.
Bringing It Home
While our roots stretched globally, we knew it was just as important to plant them firmly at home.
Last year, in 2025 we soft-launched Be Light Gardens in our own backyard, in Rocky Mount. This early phase allowed us to grow thoughtfully—testing ideas, learning through hands-on experience, and building something that felt real, local, and sustainable.
It wasn’t about speed.
It was about stewardship.
Through local growing, education, and community engagement, Be Light Gardens began to take shape in a way that reflected our values as a family-owned brand.
A Family-Owned Brand, Fully in Bloom
In 2026, Be Light Gardens officially steps fully into its purpose.
What started as an extension of Be Light Candle RE—a brand built on giving back—has grown into a dedicated agriculture arm focused on food access, education, and sustainability.
Be Light Gardens now represents:
- Global impact through community partnerships
- Local growing rooted in real neighborhoods
- Beginner-friendly education for growing food
- A continued commitment to giving back
Whether it’s a greenhouse in Kenya or a garden bed in North Carolina, the mission remains the same: grow with intention and lead with purpose.
This Is Just the Beginning
Be Light Gardens is not a destination—it’s a living, growing journey.
As we expand our offerings, share resources, and deepen our partnerships, we remain grounded in the same values that started it all: family, community, and impact that lasts beyond the season.
From Kenya to our own backyard, we are proud to be growing something meaningful—together.
